Boomslang

The boomslang was the favorite childhood snake at the Bartosch household where the trusty Reptiles & Amphibians Encyclopedia was close by at all times. The snake works for the beer style like so: a boomslang is an arboreal cobra with a highly venomous hemotoxin which disables blood clotting. Unlike most venomous snakes, they have an egg-shaped head (as opposed to diamond shaped), large round full eyes (instead of the trademark eye slits in vipers), and they make their livelihood almost exclusively in trees.  This beer is as deceptive as its namesnake.  Seemingly innocent, the peppery yeast masks both bitterness and booze.
