Second Banana
2nd Banana is a traditional German Hefeweizen. It was brewed using a mashing process our brewhouse is not set up for but necessary in order to produce this type of beer. We used 100% German malts and over 50% of this was Wheat malt. Together with the Hefeweizen yeast, we produced a well balanced and refreshing beer. The first sip delivers a pure banana flavor and aroma which is produced by the yeast during fermentation, followed by a mild clove flavored finish. These flavors and a slightly higher carbonation, giving this beer a high level of “Spritzigkeit”, makes it a perfectly refreshing summer drink.
