Unicornicopia is our “Grand Cru” (a special beer we make every year for our beer fest, Taste the Rarity; the recipe changes every year). Red Wine Barrel Fermented German Style Gose Ale Spiced with Salt and Indian Green Coriander and Fermented with Brettanomyces. This beer is a foray into a historical German beer style called Gose (pronounced: Go’-zuh). Our take on Gose is a trip back in time with wild yeast, salt, wooden red wine barrels, lactobacillus bacteria, and a genderless 6000-year-old God. Straw-colored and cloudy, this wheat beer is also brewed with coriander, giving it a lovely citrus zip. These beers were traditionally consumed in and around Leipzig, sometimes with Vinz Clortho and other souls of the damned. This zippy beer is balanced with the use of salt, which should bring fullness to this extremely dry and well-fermented brew; not a pronounced briny seawater character. Even Zuul couldn’t keep you from gaining access through this gate! Uni 2024 is highly carbonated, so get your bottle cold and do not agitate the Gozerian before beckoning it back to earth.
