At WISEACRE-OG, we offer an 8-tap private bar serving a selection of WISEACRE favorites and seasonal beers at the Chautauqua Outdoor Pavilion for $650. This price includes two bartenders for the duration of the event. We also have a 4-tap bar available. Depending on the number of guests, additional bartenders may be assigned for an added service fee. At WISEACRE-HQ, please speak with the events manager to arrange dedicated bar service for your private downtown event!

Private Events

Different spaces have different standard rental times varying between 2-4 hours. Full facility buyouts vary in duration, these details will be included in your Event Proposal. Events may be extended for an additional hourly fee.

Unless you opt for a full facility buyout, the Taproom may be open to the public, and other events could be occurring at the same time. Your space, however, will be sectioned off to ensure privacy for your group.

The Facility Rental Fee in full is required to secure your reservation. A facility rental grants you dedicated space, the ability to place décor, access to AV, access to drink tickets/wristbands, access to private tour options, and the ability to pre-order off the Little Bettie Menu. The Facility Rental Fee does not include additional costs such as beer, catering, tours, merchandise, bartenders, floral and outside rentals.

Your deposit is the full facility rental fee. Cancellations made 30 business days in advance of the event date will be refunded the rental fee minus a $300 cancellation fee detailed in your rental licensing agreement. Cancellations made with less than 30 business days’ notice forfeit the entire rental fee. Payment for service and all goods consumed as well as additional costs due in full at the end of the event. WISEACRE accepts debit or credit card payments for beer, merchandise, and additional costs at the end of your event.

Tickets for tours can be refunded up to 24 hours in advance. Special Beer Pairing Events that involve food require at least 48 hours’ notice.

No. Tour tickets are only available online. Walk-in tickets may be available at the time of the tour if space allows. Please keep in mind, we are credit/debit card only (no cash).

We welcome individuals of all ages to tour the brewery; however, we require attendees to be 21 or older for Beer Pairing Events. Children 12 years and under can join the tours for free, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Yes, the brewery is accessible. However, as it is in operation, there are occasional puddles and hoses. We encourage everyone to be aware of their surroundings.

A service fee is applied to cover the costs of staffing for events that occur outside our hours of operation, use of our private outdoor bar, or during events that close our facility to the public. Our standard service fee is $20 per staff member per hour for the length of the event, plus 1 hour for set up and 1 hour for clean up. The number of staff members needed is determined based on setup needs and the anticipated number of guests (approximately 1 bartender is needed per 50 guests). Should the guest count change significantly or the event length increase, WISEACRE reserves the right to add a service fee. A minimum of two WISEACRE bartenders must be on-site at all times during an event.

Rental tables, chairs, linens, flatware, etc. are available through our preferred vendor. We are happy to coordinate ordering, delivery, installation, and tear down/pick up of rentals for a standard coordination fee (20% of total cost of rentals). All deliveries and outside rentals (not coordinated by us), equipment, and decorations must be brought in and out during pre-approved and scheduled times the day of the event.


Cigarette, cigar, pipe smoking, and vaping are not permitted in the brewery or tents. Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas, unless otherwise denoted.

Within the WISEACRE taproom are male and female restrooms available to the public and private event guests. If additional facilities are needed, Port-a-potties are available at an additional cost.

Bands and DJ’s are more than welcome! Please note that entertainment must provide their own sound equipment.

Unless otherwise arranged, beer is charged for by the pint on consumption. WISEACRE may provide wrist bands to track drink consumption during events.

PRE-PAID DRINK TICKETS – Hosts may purchase drink tickets in advance of the event at a discounted rate. Tickets will be distributed to event guests at the will of the host. Pre-purchased tickets are non refundable. When drink tickets are exhausted, host may opt for master tab or require guests to start individual tabs;

MASTER TAB – Drinks can be tracked using a master tab, paid for in full by the host at the end of the event. The master tab may be capped at a certain amount, or the host can distribute tickets to limit consumption. After the pre-set amount is reached, or tickets are exhausted, guests are responsible for their own tabs;

CASH BAR – Guests may purchase their own drinks;

BAR MINIMUM – If an agreed upon bar minimum is in place, tabs from all event guests will count toward it. If the minimum is not met, the host is accountable for the difference between the spend and the minimum.

Pre-paid and/or invoiced tabs are subject to an automatic 20% gratuity.

WISEACRE OG: Guests may bring their food, potluck style, or opt for traditional catering. Catering may be arranged by WISEACRE staff for a standard coordination fee (20% of the total cost of catering). Guests may also arrange their catering. Formal vendors must be certified by the Health Department and have a current Certificate of Insurance on file naming WISEACRE as additional insured. It is requested that new vendors provide necessary documentation no later than 1 week before the event. WISEACRE HQ: All food at WISEACRE-HQ must come through LITTLE BETTIE’S KITCHEN. You may circumvent our on-site kitchen for a 20% catering pass-through fee.

Standard allowance for clean-up is one hour. All decorations must be cleaned up by host post-event, including tape, petals, hanging decorations, etc.

No confetti, silly string, shredded paper, hay, loose glitter, sparklers, firecrackers, or water balloons. No bounce houses. No fabric with glitter. No feathers or boas. No nails or hooks attached to walls. All tape must be easily removable and not leave residue. All candles must be in an enclosed vessel. NO HELIUM BALLOONS ARE ALLOWED IN THE HQ TAPROOM!

There is no weather contingency policy for WISEACRE events. the Chautauqua Outdoor Pavilion. All events are booked rain or shine and no refunds will be awarded should the weather become prohibitive.

At our Downtown HQ location, our BB KING patio is semi-covered.

All individuals who wish to consume beer must have a valid ID, regardless of age (even if you are 198 years old). We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. The brewery is not temperature-controlled and is generally about 10 degrees warmer inside than it is outside.

Yes, we do! However, due to the volume of inquiries we receive, we have set some pretty specific guidelines on the organizations and events we support. Please visit our Charitable Giving page for more details or to submit a Donation/Sponsorship request.

We kindly request that all requests for donations/sponsorships be submitted at least 1 month before the time of your event. We also do our best to respond to every request we receive but we can’t always catch ’em all. If you don’t hear back from us within 3-4 weeks, please know that we wish you the best of luck with your event but won’t be able to participate this year.

We hate to break your heart, but we are legally prohibited from shipping directly to consumers so we can’t send beer straight to you. We also cannot ship to any wholesalers, bars, restaurants, etc. not already covered by our current distributors. For now, we hope you’ll be able to enjoy our beer next time you pass through an area where we distribute. We also encourage you to stop by our Taprooms here in Memphis next time you come through town.

The OG Taproom/Brewery entrance is located at the back of the building with parking available along the railroad track side of the property. If the lot is full, additional parking can be found on the side street, Cumberland, with easy access to the entrance via the shipping container bridge.

The HQ Taproom/Brewery entrance is on the East side of the building. Parking is available in the large lot or on the East/South sides of the street, but not on BB King Blvd.

We cannot fill growlers without our label on it. Not our rule and we follow it even if others don’t. We offer almost all our beers in pre-packaged bottles or cans, which is far better for your beer and your wallet anyway.

We believe that to best experience a drink, you have to give it more than a passing chance. When sampling new things, try a 7oz taster (or 3!)–just skip the requests for sips, if you please; a single sip across one’s lips is but a blip, and nary an adequate taste will it be.
